Stop & GO!
Self-checks

Self-control in dogs refers to their ability to manage their impulses and emotions in different situations. It is an essential skill that allows them to remain calm, avoid overreacting to stimuli, and make sound decisions in their environment.

These missions are for any team that wants to take on self-control challenges. These challenges benefit excitable dogs, adolescents, hyperactive dogs, dogs who have difficulty managing their frustrations, anxious dogs, and anyone else who wants to provide mental stimulation for their dog.

Useful for:

  • The dogs that push you around, turn, spin, jump, and bark as soon as there's food involved

  • Dogs that take everything off the counter, tables.

  • Dogs that steal stockings, that pick up everything in the street

  • Dogs that slip in as soon as the door is opened or that bump into you when you leave

  • Dogs that become excited when approaching the park or that pull to go see people or other dogs

  • Dogs that jump on people who approach them

  • Dogs that have difficulty managing their emotions when they are petted (for example, urinating with pleasure)

  • Dogs that have trouble controlling themselves when they are excited, that become agitated when you try to let them off the leash, that get carried away during play

  • Dogs that tug at anything and everything

Our goal : We want to encourage people to treat the situation with empathy and to seek solutions based on emotion management and positive training.
